Kutch is known for its cultural district of Gujarat. Sufi & Folk songs, instruments such as Bhorrinde, Manjira, Morchay, Jodia Pava & Rava, influence the music. The language spoken in Kutch is Kutchi language. Diverse handicrafts, hand-crafts, jewellery products, wood-carving, wall paintings, & many more.
Different groups and communities live in the Kutch district. After hundreds of years migrant from Marwar (West of Rajasthan), Sindh, Afghanistan and beyond, many have reached this area The arid lands of Kutch produce a mosaic of exquisitely with a host of different colours, a multiplicity of architecture, superfluity of art, a multiplicity of music and dance which reflects the identity and spirit of the region.
Kutch is a festive land of culture, arts, crafts, music, dance, people and nature, one of the ecologically and ethnically diverse regions of the State Each year a three days festive extravaganza of hospitality, vigours and a typical taste of a winter, in the middle of the beautiful and contrasting landscape, the area is hosted and known as the Kutch or Rann Utsav. This three to 4 day carnival in the different places of Kutch brings you around the natural grandiose and introduces you to the cultural and ethnic indigenous peoples flavor of the people. The Banni Grasslands in Semi Parched are home to the most impressive exhibition of vernacular architecture as a showcase for the region’s rich arts and crafts.
The most enchanting experience is a range of folk music and dance performances in the shimmering moon-light. At the Colorful fairs that are held near the beach or on the shores of a lake there is a festive spirit, fervor and splendour is an excellent opportunity to become part of the region and witness people’s passion and individuality in a celebration of life!

On fixed times, Dhordo transfers from Bhuj to Tent City:

Individual transfer on request (on chargeable basis). No transfers will be available after above timings.
The tents are subject to availability for guests arriving at the residence, until check-in time.
Distance is approximately from Bhuj to Tent city. Dhordo is approx. It takes about 1 hour 45 min, about 85 km.
Dhordo will be served in the bus on the way. Complimentry refreshments.

Sri Swaminaraya(Approx. time 20 min)
Temple Made of marble, intricate carvings adorn the pillars and ceiling of the most expensive temple
built in the state of Gujarat recently.
Kutch Museum(Approx. time 30 min)
A trip to the Kutch Museum will help you learn about the history of the district’s tribal and folk culture, as well as its inhabitants. Remember that visiting a museum is a great way to learn about history, but tribals are not simply part of history population and cultural identity today.
(Kutch museum remains closed on Wednesday).
Bhujodi (Approx. time 40 min)
The handicraft village Hiralaxmi Craft Park – a vision to reserve, restore and promote the art and craft of Kutch and make them accessible to the public. The craft village can be seen where live craftsmen work. The entry costs (if any) are borne by the visitor.
