Gujarat Wildlife Trip – 2N/3D
Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is one of India’s finest wildlife sanctuaries in the Junagadh district of Gujarat to spot wild lions in an enormous population. Founded on 18 September 1965 as an Asian lion conservation forest reserve, this park provides shelter for endangered Asian lions and many other wild animals. In addition to witness many great animals and birds, one can enjoy Jeep Safari in the park for better wildlife experience.
Itinerary
On arrival, check into at the wildlife resort. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel. Sasan Gir is one of the popular wildlife national parks that offer home to many Asiatic Lions. It also offer habitat to a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators recorded in the park include the Panther and the Hyena, The Indian Deer, Sambar, Chital (spotted deer), Nilgai (blue bull), Chinkara, the Chowsingha (four horned antelope), the bear and the long tailed Langur.
We will explore the Gir National Park for Wildlife watching in the morning. We will also enter the national park again in the afternoon for its second view. The forest of Gir national park is dry, deciduous and is situated in the semi-arid western part of India. The topography made up of succession of rugged ridges, isolated hills, deep ravines, plateaus, valleys and interspersed with large patches of grasslands. An overnight stay in Sasan Gir.
After breakfast, we will leave for Ahmedabad. En-route, we will stop at Junagadh to visit the Uperkot fort, one of the ancient forts built by Chandra Gupta. The fort has been rebuilt and extended many times. Further, we will continue our drive to Ahmedabad. On arrival at Ahmedabad, we will drop you at your desired location.
